Turmeric, lemon, cayenne, and ginger make this wellness toddy a warming and healing drink.

Ingredients
1teaspoonground turmeric
1big pinchcayenne
1pinchblack pepper
1large lemon, juiced
1/2inchknob of ginger, finely chopped or grated (1/4 teaspoon ground ginger will work too)
1cupboiling water
1tablespoonraw honey or maple (if vegan or wanting a lower glycemic index)
Instructions
Combine all ingredients (minus sweetener, if using), and steep in boiling water for at least five minutes, which allows the fresh ginger to better release its taste
Drink as is or strain for a smooth finish
Add sweetener of choice, if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
If you don’t strain this drink please be sure to give it a swirl every now and then as you're drinking it to prevent the settling of spices at the bottom and to ensure you sip up all the goodness
