Hot Maca Cocoa
Hot cocoa with a healthier twist! Naturally sweetened this energizing cocoa drink will balance your mood and bring a little cozy to your day.
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon maca powder
- 1 dash of cinnamon powder
- 1-2 tablespoons boiling water
- 1-2 teaspoons date syrup (or maple syrup), depending on your preference for sweetness
- 1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice -- but oat milk's foamability is superb!)
In your cocoa mug, combine cacao, maca and cinnamon
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of boiling hot water and mix until there are no lumps
Add date syrup to the cocoa concoction and stir to combine. Add more syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink experience.
In the microwave or in a small sauce pan, bring oat milk to a boil. To foam the milk, use a frother or carefully pour back and forth between two mugs.
Add hot milk to the cocoa cup, stir and enjoy!
