Rhizome and shine with this ginger turmeric smoothie shot!
Get it?? Rhizomes?? Ginger… turmeric? Okay, you might not be as excited about two rhizomes being featured in this smoothie shot but your BODY will be! I mean, how can it not with all that ginger alone? Healthy poo, here we come.
So, you might be wondering, “how is this different than all the millions of wellness shots splattered across the internet?” First off, this one is a smoothie not juice! Yup. This one doesn’t require a juicer. And it doesn’t require you to strain it manually either.
And here’s why. Fiber. We need fiber, people! There’s no reason for you to ditch that goodness from this. (Unless of course you can’t have a lot of fiber. Then by all means, please do not drink this or Metamucil — actually don’t drink Metamucil either way).
This ginger turmeric smoothie shot is just orange, lemon juice, ginger, turmeric and black pepper whirled together until smoooooooth. Then let it chill and take shots of it as you please. It’ll wake up your tastebuds and get your body in tip top shape.
Also, don’t spill it. Turmeric is one stainy spice!

Ginger Turmeric Smoothie Shot
Ingredients
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 big knob of ginger
- 1 big knob of turmeric or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- a good twist of freshly cracked black pepper (equivalent to a pinch!)
Instructions
- Throw all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until kingdom come (aka until it's super smooth).
- Pour into a glass container, seal, and refrigerate until chilled.
- Take a couple tablespoons whenever you need a nice wake up call or boost of flavor and vitamins.
