You know what flavor combo needs more press? Strawberry rose! Two pretty and fragrant things that together make magic! Was there ever a more delicate and sophisticated flavor combo?? And this recipe, my strawberry rose popsicles, is a great way to try out this pair if you’ve not yet enjoyed it!
Even if you don’t enjoy floral flavors, I encourage you to give this one try. The strawberry counters the floral nature of the rose making it not overpowering. And then the addition of a little cardamom (yup, my favorite spice), adds another flavor layer. But again, not too overpowering and it compliments the rose quite nicely.
With the yogurt, you’ll get some lassi vibes, and that is always a good thing. Just a little tart and it makes it extra smooth. And you know what? You can literally drink this as a lassi. So there’s that benefit of making this too!
Molds for Your Strawberry Rose Popsicles
The popsicle mold you use will ultimately determine how many servings you end up with. The popsicle molds I use aren’t the magnum bar shaped or rectangular-shaped ones you see all over the internet. They are much bigger but are very cute! For the last decade, I have used smaller cylindrical-shaped ones from the dollar store that hold about 1/4 cup in each cavity. They are almost identical to the ones I grew up with. This is the closest I could find online for you as a comparison and actually made with better material than what I have. Classic! So cute. So fun.
No matter how you freeze these strawberry rose popsicles, you will end up with a flavorful, fresh, floral, and fruity result! Give it a try and be floor(al)ed!
