I know everyone has their own version of a green smoothie and each one undoubtedly holds health benefits and flavors that are great. But, I’m telling you. I am nearly certain none of these compare to my favorite one of all time. THE BEST GREENSICLE SMOOTHIE! It’s creamy, and dreamy, and tangeriney!

You know I love me a good blender recipe (exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C, and more!) and smoothies are one of the OG ways to use this great appliance.

It’s really just a heaping handful of basic, whole food ingredients that, when whirled together, make one delightful smoothie! It tastes like a treat but is quite healthful.

For the most part, the ingredients found here are purchasable in grocery stores or through online delivery (i.e. if dates aren’t carried at your local store). All you need is spinach, a tangerine or half a big juicy orange, a frozen banana, dates, vanilla, and almond butter. Then blend it up together and you’ve got yourself a healthier, green version of an orange julius that is filling and fun to drink.

Give this fun and flavorful greensicle smoothie a try and sip up your fruits and veggies in the tastiest way!

Greensicle Smoothie

Author Sunita

Ingredients

  • 1 tangerine (or half an orange)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 dates, pitted
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend away!
  • Blend until it's completely smooth with no chunks or lumps.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

The more tart your tangerine or orange, the more balanced this will taste but even a sweet citrus will still taste great.
