Listen. I love chocolate, a lot! But sometimes the caffeine gets to me!
Carob is not chocolate. This I know. I’d be a fool to try to convince you that it is. But this cozy, carob concoction’s got smooth cacao vibes. Add a little maca to the mix for caramel undertones and an extra boost of energy — and you’ve got yourself a delightful drink with this carob latte!
Carob Latte
Servings 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup hot nondairy milk (oat milk is my fav)
- 1 teaspoon boiling water
- 2 teaspoons carob powder
- 1 teaspoon maca powder
- Dash of cinnamon
- 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup
Instructions
- In a heat-proof cup, combine carob, maca, and cinnamon.
- Add a teaspoon or so of boiling water to help dissolve all ingredients.
- Pour hot milk over carob mixture and stir gentle.
- Add maple syrup, if desired. Enjoy this cup of carob!
