I have always loved baking with condensed milk, but between cutting out cow dairy and trying to reduce my intake of refined sugar, I don’t have convenient options.
Enter this lovely staple for you and for me… vegan condensed milk!
It is just two ingredients plus a little bit of time — and it is so easy. And if you can get over the brown color of this homemade staple, you’ll find that this is a great sub!
Vegan Condensed Milk
Ingredients
- 1 can full fat coconut milk
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
Instructions
- Stir ingredients together and bring to a boil.
- Let simmer until it has reduced in volume by about half.
- Cool and store in the fridge for a week.
