When people have overripe bananas, they often will make banana bread — which is great! BUT!! Have you ever tried making fruit leather? Just blend it up with other fruits and voila! In this instance, I am highlighting one of my prize flavor combos and the result? Strawberry Cardamom Fruit Leather! Sweet, bright, and subtly floral, this fruit leather elevates a childhood treat and makes use of ingredients in your home!
It’s no secret I love this fruit-spice combo (see: my cheesecake and popsicles!). And cardamom works really well with other fruits too — so feel free to sub out strawberries if they aren’t in season or you don’t have access. Pictured below are both strawberry cardamom and blackberry cardamom fruit leather.
Added bonus, it’s really so easy. It’s like making the easiest smoothie. Then just pour it onto a tray and let your dehydrator (or oven) do the work. I’ll be honest, I haven’t done this using an oven but I know there are folks who do not have a dehydrator and still make dehydrated goods.
However you create these, strawberry cardamom fruit leather recipe, you’ll be glad you did. It’s a delicious snack!
